It is a simple line, but it speaks strongly about how we make decisions in life. Now, let me ask you. When was the last time you made a decision without thinking it through? Did it lead to something good, or did it bring problems you did not expect?
Last January 24, 2026, the scholars once again gathered to be enlightened on Jim Collinsโ book “๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐”, focusing on the Chapter 7: Technology Accelerators. The discussion highlighted how companies become successful not by chasing every new technology but by using the right technology in the right way.

Several meaningful ideas came out of the discussion. One of them is that we should use technology as a tool, not let it control us. This suggests that technology can help us work faster, make life easier, and open new opportunities. However, relying on inventions too much or using it carelessly can lead to bad decisions and unexpected consequences. Therefore, we must learn to think first and plan carefully before using technology. We should stay in control and use it intentionally to support our goals, not let it decide for us.

Another concept shared was the crawl, walk, and run approach. The idea shows that growth takes time. If you feel like you are not moving, that’s valid. Just trust the process, and you will see that success doesnโt happen all at once. It is a step-by-step process. The same goes for companies. They take it slowly but surely, learning from experience and improving little by little. Over time, these small steps build momentum and help companies reach greatness.
Thank you to all the scholars who participated as well as to Sir Kenneth for the wisdom he shared. Your curiosity and insights made the discussion more meaningful.
